Well-Being Scientific Council
Home About Us Well-Being Scientific Council
The Well-Being Scientific Council advises Gallup and Healthways on means to enhance and promote the scientific utility and integrity of the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index Survey and Indices (WBSI). Specific objectives for the Council include the following:
- Review and recommend modifications to the Survey items.
- Review and provide feedback on studies intended for peer-review publication.
- Collaborate on studies derived from the WBSI data.
A select group of scientists from the fields of behavioral and health economics, health and social policy, epidemiology, behavioral and psychological sciences, health promotion, and disease prevention have been invited to serve on the Well-Being Scientific Council. The Council members support the goals and objectives through a wide range of activities including review and feedback on the latest science and research, publication of their own findings from the WBI in journals and papers, presenting their findings at various conferences and summits.
