Using A Measure that Matters to Constituents' Well-Being
The Community Well-Being Survey assesses well-being in a civic environment, such as a community, city, state or region. Policy makers and governments can use the information from the survey to measure well-being in the community and benchmark results against the country or other regions. Having this information can provide meaningful business development efforts and help influence policies or design initiatives that improve the health and well-being of its residents.
The Well-Being Index will change the way health and productivity are measured so significantly that ideally governments and their communities, businesses and individual influencers will make a commitment to take action and improve their scores.
Benefits for Governments and Policy Makers:
- Collective voice and experience across 50 states
- Economic development tool ranking state, city, regional and congressional areas by life evaluation, physical/emotional health, health behaviors, work quality and basic access to food/shelter and personal safety
- Impact of work environment, economy, community influencers, health, safety and other factors on well-being
- Demographic findings and their relationship to city, state and regional rankings
- Measure of policy implications and public policy effectiveness
- Justification for funding and grant awards
